Caricatures are a fun idea for both residents and staffers of assisted living facilities. I've drawn for the just the residents — both general and memory care, for open house event for residents and visiting families and friends or just for staff on employee appreciation days.
I set up my easel so the residents can watch as the caricatures are drawn — adding more entertainment as everyone gets a couple hours of entertainment as they watch their fellow residents get drawn, plus they get a keepsake to show their families when they visit. I interact with the resident — chatting, joking and getting to know them as I draw their caricature making the experience more personal and enjoyable. I can draw 15 to 18 B&W single heads and bodies and 10-14 color single heads and bodies per hour. Seniors with mobility issues can reduce the number of caricatures per hour as it takes longer for them to get in or out of the chair or the chair has to moved to accommodate their wheelchair, plus some like to linger in the chair a little longer sharing their interesting life stories. Attentive and other cognitive issues that seniors may have can also affect the number of drawings drawn per hour. The number of caricatures is a range and not guaranteed. Call, text or email or use my contact page to book or inquire about caricatures for your upcoming senior activity event! |
